Tox Treatment Areas
What Would You Like to Improve?
You don't need to know which injectable or product you need before scheduling your appointment.
Instead, tell us what you see when you look in the mirror and what you would like to improve. We will evaluate your facial anatomy, movement, proportions, and treatment goals to determine which options may be appropriate.
Depending on your individual assessment, injectable treatments may be considered for the following areas.
Forehead Lines
Horizontal forehead lines develop over time as the muscles used to raise the eyebrows repeatedly contract.
A wrinkle relaxer may be considered to soften these expression lines while maintaining appropriate facial movement and eyebrow position.
Treatment of the forehead requires careful consideration of your natural brow position and muscle activity to avoid an overly heavy or unnatural appearance.
Frown Lines — The “11s”
Vertical lines between the eyebrows can become more noticeable with repeated frowning, squinting, or concentrating.
Jeuveau® and DAXXIFY® can temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity in this area, helping soften moderate to severe frown lines.
This area is commonly referred to as the glabella or the “11s.”
Crow's Feet
Fine lines around the outer corners of the eyes often become more noticeable when smiling or squinting.
Carefully placed wrinkle relaxer may help soften these expression lines while preserving a natural smile.
Brow Area
Strategic treatment of selected muscles surrounding the eyebrows may help create a subtle change in brow position or improve the appearance of heaviness around the brow.
The goal is subtle refinement—not an exaggerated or overly elevated appearance.
Bunny Lines
Some patients develop diagonal or horizontal expression lines along the sides or bridge of the nose when smiling, laughing, or scrunching the nose.
Small amounts of wrinkle relaxer may be considered for appropriate patients to soften this movement.
Lip Flip
A lip flip uses a small amount of wrinkle relaxer around the upper lip to reduce the inward pull of the lip during smiling.
Rather than adding volume, the treatment may allow slightly more of the natural upper lip to remain visible.
A lip flip is different from lip filler, which physically adds volume and contour.
Gummy Smile
For some patients, strong movement of the upper lip causes a larger portion of the gums to become visible when smiling.
Carefully placed wrinkle relaxer may be considered to reduce excessive elevation of the upper lip in appropriately selected patients.
Chin Dimpling
An overactive chin muscle can create a textured, puckered, or “orange-peel” appearance.
Wrinkle relaxer may be considered to soften excessive muscle contraction and create a smoother appearance to the chin.
Downturned Corners of the Mouth
Muscle activity around the lower face can contribute to a downward pull at the corners of the mouth.
For appropriately selected patients, wrinkle relaxer may be considered to reduce this downward pull and create a more relaxed appearance.
Jawline & Masseter Area
The masseter muscles are powerful muscles located along the sides of the jaw.
For selected patients with prominent masseter muscles, neuromodulator treatment may be considered as part of a plan to soften the appearance of a broad or square lower face.
Because facial structure varies considerably between patients, careful evaluation is particularly important before treating this area.
A Note About Treatment Areas
Some injectable treatments performed in aesthetic medicine involve off-label use of FDA-approved products. Off-label use means that an FDA-approved medication or device is being used in a treatment area or manner that is not specifically included in its FDA-approved labeling.
When an off-label treatment is being considered, we will discuss the proposed treatment, expected benefits, potential risks, alternatives, and whether it is appropriate for you before proceeding.
